These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of 1memo (the "Service"), operated by Master of AI, LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
1. Account Registration
To access certain features, you must sign in using a supported Google or Apple account. By signing in, you represent that:
- You are at least 13 years of age
- The information provided through your sign-in provider is accurate
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and any activity that occurs under it
You may not transfer your account to another person or use another person's account without permission.
2. 1memo+ Subscriptions
Plans & Pricing
In the United States, 1memo currently offers 1memo+ at the following standard prices. Your provider displays the binding price and currency before purchase:
- Monthly: $2.99 per month
- Yearly: $19.99 per year
Prices are in US dollars and may be updated at our discretion. Any price changes will apply to billing periods starting after the change is announced, not to your current billing period.
Eligible new subscribers may receive a one-month introductory trial, as shown by the billing provider before purchase. Trial eligibility is determined by Stripe, Apple, or Google for that provider.
Billing & Auto-Renewal
Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or yearly, depending on your plan). Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.
Web payments are processed by Stripe, iPhone purchases by Apple through the App Store, and Android purchases by Google through Google Play. We do not store your card details. After a provider verifies an active subscription, the same signed-in account receives 1memo+ access on the web, iPhone, and Android apps.
Cancellation
You may cancel at any time through the provider used to purchase the subscription. Web subscribers can open the Stripe customer portal from the profile page; App Store and Google Play subscribers manage their plans in the corresponding store. Upon cancellation:
- You retain access to premium features until the end of your current billing period
- Refund eligibility and processing follow the rules of the provider that processed the purchase and applicable law
- You may resubscribe at any time at the then-current price
Failed Payments
If a payment fails, access may enter a grace or past-due state under the billing provider's rules. Update the payment method through Stripe, the App Store, or Google Play, as applicable. If payment is not resolved, the provider may cancel the subscription.
3. Archive & 1memo+ Content
1memo provides daily AI app-change digests. The newest published digest is available as a headline and preview without 1memo+; its full sections and source links require an active 1memo+ subscription. Every earlier published digest is available in full without 1memo+. We may change the access model prospectively with appropriate notice.
4. AI-Generated Content
Our daily digests are created with the assistance of artificial intelligence models that summarize publicly available news and product updates. While we strive for accuracy:
- AI-generated summaries may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies
- Content is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute professional advice
- We encourage you to verify information by consulting original sources, which are linked where available
5. Newsletter
FatherPhi's Master of AI newsletter is a separate, optional email subscription. The public 1memo consumer experience does not offer a 1memo recap email. If you opt in to the Master of AI newsletter, you agree to receive its occasional emails through Beehiiv and may unsubscribe using the link in any email or your profile page.
6. Intellectual Property
All content on 1memo, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is owned by or licensed to us and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without prior written consent, except for reasonable personal, non-commercial use (such as sharing a link or excerpt with attribution).
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service, other accounts, or related systems
- Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract content in bulk without permission
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
- Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit premium content
8. Service Availability
We strive to keep 1memo available and up to date, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any loss resulting from service interruptions.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Master of AI, LLC, its owner, and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Master of AI, LLC from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in King County, Washington.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you (e.g., via email or a notice on the site).
